Just minutes away from your new home in the most spectacular new luxury home community in the Triangle are, Preston Retreat, Downtown Park will once again be the location to celebrate Outdoor Living in Cary, as on March 17 it hosts the 8th Annual Arbor Day events in town.

Describing the significance of the Arbor Day festivities and the celebrating of the countless options for Outdoor Living in Cary, the events section of the towns’ official website stated, “Each spring we continue the national tradition of celebrating the importance of trees with or Arbor Day Celebration in Downtown Cary.”

Continuing to speak of the annual celebration of Outdoor Living in Cary, the article on the town’s site said, “ A tree dedication ceremony opens the event, after which guests can enjoy free tree-themed crafts for kids, education, and entertainment. While supplies last attendees can pick up a free tree to plant at home and enjoy time for the Q & A with our certified arborist including tips for proper planting.”

At last years’ event there was a dedication done, as a tree was planted on site at Downtown Park in honor of former Hometown Spirit Award winner, Sheila Ogle, and during said ceremony, the town’s Arbor Day proclamation was read in addition to the noting of it being the 34th year that the Town of Cary has been a “Tree City USA” community.
