Christmas in Cary: The Heart of the Holidays

Starting on December 2, just down the street from your new dream house at the number one luxury new home community in the Triangle, Preston Retreat, the town brings its residents together with Christmas in Cary options that can satisfy the tastes of all ages as a part of several events called the “Heart of the Holidays.”

Kicking it off for the kids, Santa’s Workshop, will start at 10:00 am-12:30 at the Herbert C. Young Community Center, where the youngsters can make arts, crafts, and ornaments to help jump start Christmas in Cary.

Nothing quite says Christmas in Cary as the Olde Time Winter Festival, which kicks off at noon and goes until 4:00 pm on December 2. On that same night, in what is arguably the most traditional part of “Christmas in Cary,” as the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, which will take place at Town Hall Campus. This will coincide with the annual Gingerbread House building competition throughout downtown Cary.

Christmas in Cary also takes “center stage,” on the day of December 2, as there will be two performances of the holiday classic “A Christmas Story,” taking place at 3:00 pm and again at 7:30 pm at the Cary Arts Center.
