What’s Smokin’, Pickin’ and Sippin’?: 10th Annual Cary Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ Festival Enters “Beast Mode!”


For the tenth consecutive year the Cary Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Festival takes center stage at Koka Booth Amphitheatre. On both Friday, August 2 and Saturday, August 3, the event offers all the best in suds, sauces, smoked goodies, and much more.

Over 60 Beers, Over 40 Bourbons, and a “Smoked Meat Onslaught”

At the official event site, beerandbourbon.com, this event welcomes all to come out and be a part of the “10th Annual Pork-out in Cary.” They additionally speak of the return to Koka Booth and the non-stop BBQ over the two-day festival in greater detail. It begins saying, “The Triangle’s Favorite Smoked Meat Onslaught is back, with TEETH! Come and see what over 225,000 people nationwide have enjoyed.

The official Cary Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Festival website goes on to promote the tastes and sights of this “can’t miss event.” “Get ready to enjoy all those pleasures that true Southerners live by.” It goes on, “Beer, Bourbon, Barbeque, Boots, Bacon, Biscuits, Bluegrass and Smoked Beasts.”

As if that was not clear enough, the website sums up the activities in its conclusion. “It’s two great days of beer sippin’, bourbon tastin’, music listenin’, cigar smokin’, and barbeque eatin’.”

This may be somewhat of a loaded question, as there will actually be a lot “smokin'” at this two-day event! Once again in referring to the Cary Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ Festival website, they explain exactly what will be smokin’ (and cookin’). Then on Saturday, the event takes a new turn when it enters…”Beast Mode!”

BBQ Galore- This one goes without saying.  Enjoy the great barbeque selection from all the vendors onsite. It is noted that “the portions will be heavy and the prices low.”

The team at the Cary Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ Festival asks that you please drink responsibly at this event. That being said, there will be over 60 beers and 40 different bourbons to choose from.

In addition, there will be seminars in the “Tasting Theatre” area with both master distillers and brewmasters. Plus, all in attendance will receive a commemorative glass to use for your tastings throughout.

The Tenth Annual Cary Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ Festival runs from 6 pm- 10 pm Friday night, August 2. On Saturday, August 3, events start at noon and the festival ends at 6 pm.
