Bands, Bites, and Boats : A Winning Trio for Cary Summertime Events

Cary Summertime Events are plentiful and many of them take place right in the heart of town at Fred G. Bond Metro Park. However, few if any epitomize the gorgeous landscape of a Cary summer with the delicious local food options as the Bands, Bites, and Boats series. Held one Friday each month at the Boathouse at Bond Park, each week gives you a different offering of music and food. Unique to this series though is also the serenity of summer and ability to enjoy the night on the water.

A great array of delicious tastes will be available each month at Bands, Bites, and Boats. In October, the wood-fired goodness of Napoli Pizza will be at Bond Park

Those in attendance for this series of Cary Summertime Events can actually rent boats and enjoy from the lake. If your preference is to “keep it on land,” you are welcome to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on and “soak in” the entire atmosphere. Bond Park hosts each Bands, Bites, and Boats, event and is located at 801 High House Road in Cary.

Starting at 5:00 pm and going until 8:00 pm, you can take an after-hour boat rental and enjoy the tunes of Garland Mason on August 2. Mason and his undeniable grooves will take the stage at 6:00 and his songs will fill the air until the event ends. Locally renowned for their delicious New York-style pizza, stromboli, and calzones, they will be on hand throughout the night.

Likewise, Apex’s Southern Peak Brewery will be on hand serving and pouring their delicious types of craft beer. Music: E.G. Peters, Food Truck: Trash Talk,  Brew: Brueprint

While many Cary Summertime Events have come and gone by September, the Bands, Bites, and Boats series continues on. On this occasion, E.G. peters will get the music started around 5:30 pm and will no doubt have the whole place enjoying his smooth rhythms. Another unique food truck pulls in for September 6, as Trash Talk will be at Bond Park. Trash Talk is the idea of a former resident of Western NY, who brought one of the famous tastes of that area to her food truck in NC. Whether you opt for cheeseburgers or hot dogs, that main dish, the “Trash Plate” is a taste experience you won’t want to miss.

On August 2, the refreshing taste of Southern Peak Brewing will be available at Bands, Bites, and Boats.

Adding to the September 6 edition of these Cary Summer Events will be the brewmasters from Brueprint Brewery in Apex.
